Come consign with The Consign Boutique Saint John
- Consignors receive 40% of sale price, note that the cost of doing business such as sales is at the discretion of The Consign Boutique and may alter the final sale price. Both the Consignor and The Consign Boutique split the final sale price 40% and 60% respectively
- Flexible cash-out options: cash, consignor's credit, e-transfers (for balances over $100)
- Consignors who choose to use consignor's credit will receive a 10% discount off regular priced items on in-store purchases only. Does not apply to online purchases
- Balances that are six months or more are automatically transferred to Store Credit only
- Pricing is at the discretion of The Consign Boutique Saint John staff. We research market values and typically prices items at 30-50% of the retail price, depending of brand and designer, condition, current fashion trends, season, original price & market demand
- Curated clothing, accessories, home decor is at the sole discretion of our staff and based on our knowledge of what sells and what doesn't sell. We appreciate that you love your clothing, but there will be times when our curation doesn't align with what you love
CONSIGN PROCESS
Items remain in our store for 60 days. The initial price holds for 40 days, after which:
- Days 41-60 items discounted
- Days 60 items expire
After 60 days on the floor, unsold items will be pulled (Effective January 8, 2025) $1 per item pull fee will be applied to consignors that wish to have items returned (there is an incredible amount of work done by The Consign Boutique team to pull items, and process them for return), please allow up to 5 days for processing after expiry date. If items are not picked up within 15 days of expiry date, the items become the property of The Consign Boutique Saint John in which they will be donated to our charity of choice. If the consignor has chosen to have items returned or donated, the decision can't be changed midway through the consign period, as Items already logged and tagged.

Walk-In Consignment Policy
The Consign Boutique maintains 30 dedicated baskets for walk-in consignments to ensure the highest level of care and organization for your items. Each basket is assigned to an individual consignor, and once all baskets are in use, we've reached our daily capacity for walk-in appointments.
This policy helps us guarantee that your valuable items receive proper handling and avoid any risk of being misplaced, mislabeled, or mixed with other consignments. We believe this system protects both your items and provides you with the quality service you deserve.
We sincerely apologize to anyone we may need to turn away when we reach capacity. We encourage you to:
- Call ahead to check availability
- Consider scheduling an appointment
- Visit us earlier in the day when baskets are more likely to be available

- All clothing must be freshly laundered, neatly folded, and smelling fresh (smell test applied!)
- If items have been stored in the basement, they are going to have a storage smell, they will need to be freshen up. Here's a helpful hint for coats and jackets ...put them outside for a week! We will not take anything with a storage smell, cigarette smell, or household food smell.
- New items with tags should be freshened up
- Purses and shoes must be cleaned and emptied (check for scuff marks)
- Remove all clothing from hangers and fold neatly
- Do not bring items in garbage bags
HOME DÉCOR PREPARATION GUIDELINES
- All items must be properly cleaned, wiped down, and looking new
- Textiles must be freshly laundered within 48 hours of drop-off
- Send photos via email or Facebook DM if unsure about an item

We accept:
- Trending clothing and accessories (up to 3 years old)
- Designer and luxury brands
- Home decor: lamps, pillows, curtains, artwork, quilts, rugs, table bowls, vases, picture frames, etc.

We also don't accept (based on current fashion trends)... Please note: our staff carefully curates items brought in for consignment. We will respectful decline items we feel will not sell... the list below is a basic list and can change without notice. We are constantly monitoring the fashion industry.

- Extremely high heels, comfort is where it's at!
- Maternity wear (CONSIDERING IN 2025)
